Randy Book is the Business Development and Recruitment Manager / Sales Associate for Sutton Group West Coast Realty. Currently responsible for recruiting/hiring REALTORS into the 11 Greater Vancouver/Fraser Valley Offices. He has been in the real business Trading Services Licence in B.C. since 1987.
As most new entrants to our industry, I was working at my JOB, a good job, with many of my good friends. I did wonder what else I could do with my life. I was lucky enough to have extremely supportive parents and in particular my mom , June whom was in the real estate business and she was a huge support in me making my decision. I was determined and so of course it happened, Incidentally, I frequently see the hunger in the eyes of new people that I hire and help to develop. Among other traits, being Hungry seems to be a Catalyst for this business. With minimal skills about sales, I spent alot of time learning how to build my business by regularly attending training seminars and networking with many veteran real estate salespeople. I had made up my mind that I never was going back to my old JOB...never! In the mid 90's I really became familiar with Mike Ferry and their way to sell real estate. This helped me when times in this business were tough going and it made me work harder".
Again looking for new challenges I had the good fortune to work with Sutton Group -West Coast Realty where I spent a year as a Managing Broker. Even to this day, I am extremely humbled by what kind of person one must be to properly handle this position. It is a very tough job.
As my luck would have it, I found my way to working and helping to develop the new agents that join our brokerage. Sutton Group West Coast Realty is an exciting place to work at and it has great people. No surprise we continue to grow with our now 25 BC offices & a salesforce of approximately 1500 associates. I enjoy connecting and building relationships with salespeople that are currently working or who are new to the field and I make myself available to any that are open to learning how they can work harder and smarter in the real estate business. My goal is to maintain a continued high level of service in the transition before and after to all salespeople that I personally meet and hire at any of our offices.
