As most new entrants to our industry, I was working my JOB, a good job, with many of my good friends. I did wonder what else I could do with my life. I was lucky enough to have extremely supportive parents and in particular My mom June whom had been in the estate business and was a huge support making this decision. I was determined and Of course it happened, Incidentally, I frequently see the hunger in the eyes of new people that I work with and hire. Among other traits, being Hungry seems to be a Catalyst for this business. With minimal skills about sales, I spent alot of time learning how to build my business by regularly attending training seminars and networking with many veteran real estate salespeople. I had made up my mind that I never was going back to my old JOB...never! In the mid 90's I really became familiar with Mike Ferry and their way to sell real estate. This helped me when times in business were tough going and made me work harder".
